hi, i'm meagan.

a librarian and community organizer

about.

who am i?

My love for public service began during my undergraduate degree at the Marxe School of Public Affairs at CUNY Baruch College. There, I learned what your government can do for you, how they can do it for you, and why there is such a disconnect between government and constituent.

Upon graduating from Baruch, I accepted a position at ActBlue, the fundraising arm for progressive candidates and organizations, as the People Operations Associate. My role centered on knowledge management and organization, internal policy creation and design, and conducting research through survey instruments and results analysis.

In 2023, my work shifted from the non-profit sector to the public sector. I began working at a public library as a Circulation Clerk, then as a Teen Librarian Trainee, and by early 2024, I began attending the University at Buffalo's MS in Information and Library Science program.

In December of 2025, I graduated with my MS-ILS.

My professional and academic experiences have allowed me to focus on three aspects of the Library and Information Science discipline:

  1.  Collection and knowledge management and organization; preservation and special collections

  2. Information policy & security

  3. Patron services and outreach; programming creation and implementation; collection development
